Parents, we know you care about your child's safety online. Here's exactly how we handle data in Speed Legends.
WE DO NOT STORE GPS DATA
Your child's location is never uploaded to our servers. GPS is used only on the device to verify distance, then immediately discarded.
HOW LOCATION WORKS
On-Device Only
When your child starts a run, GPS tracking happens entirely on their device. We use it to calculate how far they've run in real-time.
Immediately Discarded
Once the run is complete, all GPS coordinates are deleted. We only save the final time and distance — not where your child ran.
Never Uploaded
GPS coordinates never leave the device. Our servers never see, store, or process any location data. Period.

Username & Email — to identify your child's account (email is for parents only)
Run Results — distance type (e.g., "100m") and completion time
Badges & XP — achievements earned through running
Group Memberships — which crews/groups they've joined

1. Introduction
Welcome to Speed Legends ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of all our users, especially children. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.
2. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Speed Legends is designed for a general audience, including children under the age of 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- We do not collect more personal information from children than is reasonably necessary to participate in the app.
- We require a parent or guardian's email address to create an account for a child.
- Parents have the right to review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information at any time by contacting us.
3. Location Data Policy
OUR CORE PRIVACY PROMISE:
"Speed Legends uses on-device GPS tracking to verify running distance. This location data is processed entirely in the device's volatile memory and is NEVER transmitted to our servers, stored in any database, or shared with third parties."
Once a run is completed or cancelled, all coordinate data is immediately purged from the device's memory. We only store the resulting aggregate data (total distance and time elapsed).
4. Information We Collect
A. Account Information
We collect a username and a parent's email address. This information is stored securely via Supabase (our infrastructure provider).
B. Performance Data
We store run results (e.g., "100m Sprint in 14.5s"), earned experience points (XP), badges, and crew memberships.
C. Device Information
We may collect basic device metadata (OS version, device model) to help troubleshoot technical issues.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
How to Delete Your Data:
Users can request full account deletion by emailing us at hello@alex.cn.com. We will process all deletion requests within 30 days, removing all account info, emails, and run history from our databases.
